Cookie Monster nice cream

I made this off the back of receiving some blue spirulina, and it was actually very tasty indeed. It tastes mostly of banana, but I added protein powder for flavour too, and it can surprisingly help in giving it a fluffy texture, so would highly recommend if you have a good-tasting protein.
This only takes 10 mins to make if you already have frozen bananas.

Recipe, makes enough for 2-3 people;

3 bananas, frozen
1 tbsp yogurt
1 tsp blue spirulina
30g vanilla protein powder, or 1 more frozen banana
Cookies to top (I use homemade mini ones)

Method

  1. Blend everything together in a high speed blender.

  2. If it is too liquidy, add to an empty ice cream pot/ container, and freeze for atleast an hour, or to your desired consistency.

  3. Pour or scoop into a bowl, and top with mini chocolate chip cookies.

  4. Store the rest in a container/ ice cream tub in the freezer, and keep for up to 6 months.

Notes + Variations:

If you don’t have blue spirulina, you honestly don’t need it, it’s just to make it blue, it will taste no different without.
