I’m obsessed with this at the moment - it’s perfect for a light breakfast, post workout, as a snack, or as a post-dinner sweet treat.
Literally takes 2 minutes to make too, is cheap, and uses things that won’t go off, so it’s an all round winner.

Recipe

1 1/2 cups frozen berries - mine were mixed
25g protein powder (whey works best) - I use cereal milk flavour, but any will work

Method

  1. Add your protein powder and berries to a blender, with a tiiiiiiiny splash of water.

  2. Blend it in a powerful blender, adding a drop more water if you HAVE to, but see if your blender can do without.

  3. Be patient with it - it will take a minute to blend properly. Keep checking the consistency to see if you’re happy with it.
If you blend for a while, and are using whey protein, it will become whipped, and almost like ice cream, but if you blend it for less time, it’ll be more like a sorbet.

  4. Pour into a chilled bowl, or eat it straight out the blender.

Best topped with peanut butter, and something crunchy. I’m currently obsessed with the superfood seed blend from naturya - it’s the perfect mix of crunchy & sweet things.

Notes + Variations:

If you use vegan protein, this will still work, it just may have a more sorbet-like texture. I’d also maybe opt for 20g of protein, but go with your gut & change it as you like.
